Here's a shout out to BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse). A friend of mine recently told me a story about BACA the other day. I had heard of BACA before, but didn't really know what they did. Here's the Cliff's notes version of her story.
BACA is a bunch of bikers that come together to offer what they can afford to others. The members don't necessarily have a lot of money, but they offer what they can. These bikers are generally "scary-looking" dudes... and that is what they give.
A 13-year-old girl was once assaulted. The mother panicked and would not ever let her do anything (socially) out of fear for her daughter's life (understandable). Some members of BACA got together one day and escorted the girl and her friends one day (after talking with the mother) at the local mall. Needless to say, the girls shopped and played for hours and were never bothered. The mother never worried one time about the safety of her daughter.
The world needs more people like the BACA people. May God Bless all of you. Here is their link
